What is Join Parkinson’s Research?
JPR@Research+Me is a new online national registry which aims to shape the future of Parkinson’s research by connecting people living with Parkinson’s in the UK to research opportunities they may be interested in.
Too few people with Parkinson’s take part in research, as it can be hard to find opportunities and difficult to get involved. JPR@Research+Me wants to change this by making it as easy as possible for people with Parkinson’s to find and connect with research opportunities.
If you sign up to JPR@Research+Me, you will be sent information about research studies that you may be eligible for based on the information you enter at registration, related to your Parkinson’s or other conditions you might have.
If you are interested in a study and want to find out more, you can register your interest and give permission for researchers from that study to reach out to you. Some studies may ask for some additional information to confirm whether you are potentially eligible to participate.

Who is behind the registry?
JPR@Research+Me has been developed through a collaboration between Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Newcastle University and University College London. This collaboration has been led by Professor Yan Yiannakou and Professor Camille Carroll, and has involved people living with Parkinson’s throughout the process. Hear from Professor Carroll in the video below, about why JPR@Research+Me is so important.
