A registry for everybody
Who can join? Anybody aged 18 or over can sign up to Research+Me. This includes people who have a particular condition and people who have no health conditions (sometimes called “healthy volunteers”).
We are currently running studies on:
- asthma
- migraines
- heart disease
- obesity
- irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- diabetes
- vaccines
Even if you have a different condition, or no condition at all, we welcome any new sign-ups to our registry. We may have a study in the future that you could take part in. Have a look at our studies page to find out what clinical trials we are running now.
Studies in the North East and beyond
We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne and many of our studies take place at our dedicated facility in Fenham. However, we also work with other hospitals and research sites in the North East and there may also be opportunities for you to take part in research elsewhere in the region.
We also sometimes run virtual studies, where you don’t have to visit us in person. Instead, all appointments will take place on the phone or via video call, which means you don’t have to live nearby. For one of our studies, we had people taking part from Penzance to Inverness and everywhere in between!
This means that you can sign up to Research+Me regardless of where you live. Why not encourage your family and friends to sign up, too?
