CMVictory

CMVictory is looking at a new vaccine against cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in women.
Categories: Vaccines
Register with our volunteer programme

The CMVictory study looks at the safety and effectiveness of a new vaccine against cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in women. CMV is a common viral infection that usually goes unnoticed in most people. However, if a woman becomes infected with CMV while she is pregnant, it could cause a variety of birth defects, including hearing loss, to her child.

Currently, there is no vaccine against this potentially devastating virus. This is why it is so important that we work together to make sure investigational vaccines are safe and effective to protect the most vulnerable against infection.

To join this study, you must be

  • a woman between 16 to 40 years of age
  • in good health
  • not pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant within the next 9 months
  • in close contact with at least one child 5 years of age or younger for at least 8 hours a week, if you are aged 20 or older

Other eligibility criteria may apply; please contact us to find out more.

This study is sponsored by Moderna.
